Grants

The Stratford Community Fund is a local non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life for residents of the greater Stratford, Connecticut community. The SCF seeks to build an awareness of Stratford as a unique and desirable community.

 

As a registered 501(c)3 organization SCF raises funds through bequests and contributions of the greater Stratford community. The SCF does not directly solicit donations.

The SCF raises funds and awards grants in support of various community projects that support the organization’s mission.

 

We seek to fund projects which:

  • Honor and recognize standout community members
  • Improve the physical environment of Stratford and/or surrounding towns
  • Foster intellectual and creative development of the diverse population of the Greater Stratford Community
  • Encourage public generosity and community spirit

  • In the Spotlight Summer Youth Theatre Program
  • Jumpstart Volleyball Program
  • Kickstart Soccer Program
  • Sterling House Community Center
  • Sterling Park Day Camp
  • Stratford Continuing Education
  • Stratford High School
  • Town of Stratford BEST Awards

 

Grant Application Guidelines:

  • Each grant application may not exceed $1,000
  • The funds must  be used for a project or in support of an effort that addresses the SCF’s goals
  • Funded project must provide measurable benefits to the greater Stratford, CT community
  • The funded projected must  be completed within one year (12 months) of the grant issuance
  • Individuals/Organizations are limited to two awards per 12 month period. There is no limit to the number of applications that may be submitted
  • A written summary and evaluation of the project must be submitted within 60 days of the project’s completion
  • Requests must be made at least 30 days prior to the project start date
